🏢 Occupancy Feature – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. What is an Occupancy feature in RunHotel?
The Occupancy feature allows property owners to have an overview of all property rooms in one place. The hotel management team can track which rooms on each floor are currently occupied or vacant, or can view occupancy based on the type of rooms clubbed together. It helps streamline room allocation, track check-ins/outs, and monitor space utilisation.
2. Who can use the Occupancy feature?
This feature is primarily for property owners, managers, or administrators who manage multi-floor properties like hotels.
3. How can a property owner use the Occupancy feature?
Steps to follow:
1. Navigation: Go to Runhotel's admin panel, click on Operations > “Occupancy” in the main menu. Here you can view all types of rooms clubbed together based on the type of room or the floor on which they are located.
- If you are a new user and do not have any room added, you can proceed by adding the rooms as primary step.
2. Room View: This displays all room types present in the hotel in a single view based on the type of rooms. Go to Occupancy > 'Room View' to see all the added rooms.
5. You can reorganise rooms by floors in the system. You can add multiple floors and assign or reassign rooms under each floor by clicking on the "Change floor "button. This makes it easy to manage and view occupancy floor-wise.
4. Why are rooms visible in different colour codes?
Rooms can be allocated different colour codes to differentiate between the occupied, ready to check-in, and unavailable rooms
You can customise colours based on your requirement. To do so, click on the “Customize”, select colours from the drop-down for (Unavailable, Occupied and ready to check-in rooms) and save it.
5. Does the system show a real-time occupancy dashboard?
