    🎟️ Coupons – Frequently Asked Questions 

     1. What is Coupon?

    A Coupon is a code or voucher that offers a discount while creating a booking. It can be used during checkout—either online or in hotel to reduce the total price and helping customers save money and are often provided by the hotel owners.

     1. How do I create coupon?

      Follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to the “Tariffs > Discounts" section on your property's dedicated admin panel of RunHotel

    2. Click on the "Create coupon" button to proceed further and enter the details

    - Add Coupon Details

    • Coupon Code: Enter the code users will input during checkout (e.g., SUMMER25).

    • Discount Amount: Set the discount amount or percentage (e.g., 25%, Rs1000).

    - Set Usage Restrictions

    • Make this Coupon Public:

      • Disable to make the coupon private.

    • Make this Coupon Available for First Purchase:

      • Enable to restrict usage to first-time buyers.

    - Set Apply on

    • Bookings:

      • Select the Bookings and the discount will be applied on the total booking amount. 

    • Room Service:

      • Select the Room Service and the discount will be applied on the laundry and food service for those user who already checked-in the rooms. 

    • Booking and Room Service:

      • Select the Booking and Room Service the discount will be applied on the booking and Room service.

    - Set Usage Restrictions

    • Maximum Redemptions:

      • Set the total number of times this coupon can be used across all users.

    • Maximum Redemptions Per User:

      • Set how many times each individual user can use the coupon.

    -  Set Validity Period

    • Start Date and Expiration Date:

      • Define when the coupon becomes active and when it expires.

    -  Save the Coupon

    • Click the Save button.

    • The coupon should now appear on the published hotel website (if public).

    -  Test the Coupon

    • Go to Runhotel's Admin Panel > On-demand Booking, Published Website and Room service shown below.

    Published Website: Create booking through website.

    Room Service: Create order for checked-in rooms

    • Attempt to apply the coupon code during booking or room service section to confirm it works as expected.

    2. Can I use more than one coupon per order?

    No. Only one coupon code can be used per order unless stated otherwise.

    3. Can I use a coupon after placing an order?

    Unfortunately, coupon codes must be entered at the time of checkout. We are unable to apply discounts to orders once they’ve been completed.
