Adding personal domain to your website

Personal or custom domain on website with RunHotel

1. Can I use my own domain with RunHotel?

Yes! RunHotel allows you to connect and deploy your website on your own personal or business domain (e.g., www.yourhotel.com) instead of using the FREE subdomain offered by RunHotel.

2. How do I add my custom domain to RunHotel?

It’s simple:

  1. Go to your RunHotel Admin Panel.

  2. Navigate to the Setting>Domains section.

  3. Enter your personal domain and click on “Submit”.

  4. Follow the instructions to update your DNS settings with your domain provider.

Once verified, you can deploy your site to your domain with one click.

3. What DNS settings do I need to change?

You'll typically need to:

  • Point your domain’s A record to RunHotel’s IP address (provided in the admin panel).

  • Optionally, update your CNAME or other records depending on your provider.

Don’t worry—step-by-step DNS setup instructions are shown in your RunHotel dashboard after domain submission.

4. How long does it take for the domain to go live?

After updating your DNS records, domain verification usually takes a few minutes to a few hours, depending on your domain provider. Once verified, your website can be deployed instantly.

5. Will my site still be secure (HTTPS) on a custom domain?

Yes! RunHotel automatically provides and installs an SSL certificate for your custom domain at no extra cost, ensuring your website is secure and runs on HTTPS.

6. Do I need to repurchase my domain through RunHotel?

No. You can use a domain purchased from any domain registrar (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.). Just connect it to RunHotel using the DNS settings provided.

7. Can I add multiple domains?

Currently, RunHotel supports deploying your site to one primary domain along with a FREE subdomain offered by RunHotel. You may set up redirects or aliases manually with your domain provider if needed.

9. Will email work with my domain after connecting it to RunHotel?

Yes. Email services (like Gmail for Business or Zoho Mail) will continue to work as long as you don’t change or remove your MX records while updating DNS settings. RunHotel only requires changes to the A or CNAME records.

10. I’m stuck! Who can help me set up my domain?

Our support team is here to help! If you're unsure about DNS changes or need assistance verifying your domain, contact us through the RunHotel dashboard or email us at [email protected] or raise a ticket.
