1. What is the "On Demand Booking" feature?
The On Demand Booking feature allows hotel/property staff to quickly create bookings for guests who walk in at the reception or request bookings outside the online platform, like the hotel's own website or any OTA platform.Â
It simplifies manual booking and enables staff to send payment links directly to guests.
2. Who can use this feature?
Hotel/property users with admin panel access can use the On Demand Booking feature. Typically, hotel receptionists, front desk managers, or reservation staff will use it to serve walk-in guests or take bookings over the phone.
3. When should I use On Demand Booking?
Use this feature when:

A guest walks into the hotel and requests a room.

A guest calls or emails to request a room.

You want to reserve a room for someone manually.

You need to send a secure payment link to confirm the booking.
4. How do I create an On Demand Booking?
Follow these steps:

Navigate to the “Operations > Booking" section on your property's dedicated admin panel of RunHotel

Click on the 'On demand booking button'

Fill in guest details:

Guest name
-
Email ID / phone number

Check-in and check-out dates, and click on 'Add guest details'
- Select the room type and occupancy, and click on 'Add room' followed by 'Get pricing breakdown'

Review the final price of the booking and select the payment method for the booking. Available payment methods include:
Payment gateway
Cash
UPI

Card
Click on “Confirm Booking” after selecting the payment method for the booking.
(Optional) You can apply the coupon code on the booking to offer an attractive discount to your guests

(Optional)Â You can confirm the booking at that moment and can receive payment later at 'Checkin by selecting the 'Pay later' button before confirming the booking

(Optional) You can confirm the booking by receiving partial payment.
- A confirmed booking will be visible in the “Operations > Booking" section of the admin panel.
5. Can I share a payment link with the guest?
Yes. While creating the booking, you can generate and share a secure payment link with the guest via email or SMS or WhatsApp. This allows them to confirm and pay for their booking online.
6. What happens after the guest pays through the payment link?
Once the guest completes the payment:

The booking is automatically marked as Confirmed.

The guest receives a confirmation email or SMS.

The room is reserved in the system to prevent double booking.
7. Can I cancel or edit an On-Demand Booking?
Yes, you can:

Edit guest details before confirmation.

Cancel the booking if the guest doesn't pay or changes their mind.

Changes after payment may require manual updates depending on your hotel policy.
8. Does this booking reflect in reports and occupancy?
Yes. All On on-demand bookings are included in the reservation reports just like online bookings.
9. Is there a limit to how many On Demand Bookings I can create?
There’s no limit. You can create as many bookings as needed as long as room availability exists.
10. What if I face issues while creating a booking?
